Car Jackers At Salt River Beach, Report Police

A man parked at Salt River Beach in St. Croix was approached by three men who later took off with his car, according to the VIPD.

ST. CROIX, USVI — A man parked at Salt River Beach was robbed of his vehicle, a white 2016 Ford Explorer, by three men in the early hours of August 25, say police.

The victim told police he was sitting in his car at Salt River Beach around 12:30 am on Wednesday morning when a white four-door Ford F-150 truck drove up. Three men exited the vehicle, all dressed in black clothing with black t-shirts over their faces, and ordered the victim out of his vehicle. After the victim complied, two of the suspects drove off in his Ford Explorer. The third suspect left in the Ford F-150.

The victim made his way to the Ancilmo Marshall Command police station in Christiansted to report the robbery.He was not harmed in the incident.

There have been several robberies on St. Croix involving three masked men. V.I. Police spokesman Toby Derima told the V.I. Daily News that said police suspect the same three suspectsare involved in more than one of the armed robberies, but likely not all of the crimes.

“We believe that there are more than one group committing these crimes,” Derima told the Daily News.
