Here are the top stories today in US Virgin Islands:
- The Coast Guard recovered the body of a lone free diver on Monday in the waters off Hull Bay on St. Thomas. The diver had been missing since Sunday night. Authorities have not identified him by name but say he was a 39-year-old restaurant worker. He was spearfishing by himself from Hull Bay beach. (St. Croix Source)
- Frandie Martin Jr., a popular musician and volleyball player in the British Virgin Islands, died in a boating accident on Saturday night. Two boats collided near Tortola’s south coast. Three more people were injured. (Virgin Islands Daily News)
- The Office of the Inspector General (O.I.G.) uncovered years of double-dipping at G.E.R.S. (Virgin Islands Consortium)
