The latest headlines:

  • The Coast Guard rescued four men from a 48-foot Viking Sport Fisher on Sunday night after the vessel ran aground on Pelican Cay off St. Thomas. (St. Croix Source)
  • I don't cover sports too often (because others do it better) but let's ring the bell for St. Thomas’ Max Wilson, who set or tied six U.S. Virgin Islands swimming records over the weekend during the Puerto Rico International Open swim meet in San Juan. Wilson is 16 and a senior at Antilles School. (Virgin Islands Daily News)
  • Erik M. Isaksson, a Florida native, was arrested Saturday at King Airport, according to an affidavit filed by a V.I. Port Authority officer. The arresting officer said Isaksson was creating a disturbance, screaming at employees and passengers while walking around holding a bottle of vodka and his shoes. (Virgin Islands Daily News)
  • Cruzan Rum donated $75,000 to UVI students enrolled in the process technology program, allowing them to access advanced virtual reality and intelligent learning tools that will help them prepare for future jobs. (V.I. Consortium)
