Here are the top stories today in US Virgin Islands:

  • A judge refused to grant bail for Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell faces multiple charges alleging that she recruited teenage girls for Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse. This is the fourth time that U.S. District Judge Alison J. Nathan has rejected a bail application for Maxwell. The judge cited Maxwell's ability to flee as a reason against granting bail.   • USVI Senators advanced a bill that could improve roads across the territory. The Housing, Transportation, and Telecommunications Committee supported creating a “Complete Streets Policy," a ten-member task force that would draft designs and recommendations to improve the condition of paved roads and create bike lanes and build sidewalks.
