First, it's going to be a beautiful day in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Expect a high of 85 and a low of 81 with some humidity throughout the day.

- Hurricane Sam keeps getting bigger, but it shouldn't give the USVI much trouble, according to the latest forecasts. The storm is expected to turn north-west over the weekend. (US Virgin Islands Patch)
- Noxious fumes sickened sixteen workers at Molasses Pier on Wednesday. The construction project is located near the Limetree Bay refinery, but refinery owners are saying they aren't to blame. (St. Thomas Source)
- Police announced that the human remains found last week near Smith Bay will be investigated as a homicide. The body was found in the bushes. (US Virgin Islands Patch)
- Luis Hospital on St. Croix and Schneider Hospital on St. Thomas will both have new CEO's soon. The territorial hospital board announced that they are in the process of hiring new executives for both medical centers. (Virgin Islands Daily News)
- Senator Blyden flaunted the quarantine rules when he attended a 70-person gathering at Tillet Gardens after testing positive for COVID-19. He says he's sorry, but his colleagues are still contemplating disciplinary action. (St. Thomas Source)
