- Jamaica-based West Indies Petroleum (WIP) is the new owner of the Limetree Bay Refinery, after a two-day bidding war. WIP ultimately bid $62 million bid for the facility. (VI Consortium)
- The Guardians of Culture Moko Jumbies, a local group dedicated to preserving the art of stilt dancing, held a holiday demonstration on Saturday in Schjang Ballpark. The show featured several young and upcoming youth trainees. (St. Croix Source)
- Cruzan Rum admitted on Friday that they're dealing with a molasses spill at the Gordon Finch Molasses Pier. They say they are working with local authorities to avoid any lasting environmental damage. (VI Consortium)
