Laptop, Mifi Distribution Suspended at Julius Sprauve School
A COVID-19 exposure forced the DOE to pause the distribution of supplies at Julius Sprauve School. Only certain grades will start August 9.

ST. THOMAS, USVI — Students and their families can no longer pick up laptops and MiFi at the Julius E. Sprauve School on St. John due to a COVID-19 exposure on campus. As a result of this interruption, only students in grades PreK, Kindergarten, 1st-3rd, and 7th who have been issued devices from the school or who have devices of their own will begin virtual learning on Mon., Aug. 9.
Laptop distribution for all other grades will resume on Aug. 12 at the Sprauve campus and virtual learning for those students will begin on Aug. 13.
In the meantime, the V.I. Department of Health is overseeing contact tracing and testing for school employees who were exposed to the virus. The campus will also be cleaned with CDC-approved sanitization products for COVID-19.
