Here are the top stories today in US Virgin Islands:
- Local leaders celebrated the opening of new affordable housing units at Magens Junction. The building, which is the tallest building on St. Thomas, was designed and built to be hurricane-resistant. There are 30 one-bedroom/one-bath apartments and 30 two-bedroom/two-bath apartments, all of which are income and rent restricted. (V.I. Consortium)
- The Fifth Annual Friends of Virgin Islands National Park Villas for the Park Auction goes live on November 12. You can bid on homes across the Virgin Islands, potentially securing them for far less than their regular rental rate. - Attorneys in the criminal case against St. Thomas school employee Alfredo Bruce Smith agreed to limit who can review the videos and other evidence against him that prosecutors say shows footage of child sexual assault.
