Police Catch Jewelry Thief At The Airport
VI Police arrest Jennifer Northcutt after video footage shows her taking thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from Cruz Bay store.

ST. THOMAS, USVI — The Virgin Islands Police Department announced that they arrested 54-year-old Jennifer Northcutt of Richardson, Texas, on April 30. Northcutt was arrested in connection with the stolen jewelry from Vibe Collection in Cruz Bay.

On April 29, employees of the Vibe Collection jewelry store in Cruz Bay, St. John noticed that several pieces of jewelry were missing. Upon reviewing the store’s surveillance video, the employees observed Northcutt collecting various pieces of jewelry and leaving the store without paying for the items. The stolen jewelry was, valued in the thousands of dollars.

The case first made waves on social media when a store employee posted a screenshot from the surveillance video alongside a plea to find the suspect on "What's Going on St.Thomas?"
Northcutt was detained by Customs & Border Protection officers at the Cyril E. King Airport as she was attempting to leave the territory. She later admitted to larceny and being in possession of the stolen items. Northcutt has been charged with Grand Larceny and Possession of Stolen Property. Bail was set at $20,000.
