Police Investigating Mysterious Death On St. Croix

Officers on patrol discovered the body of Lionel Hendricks on the side of the road. It is not clear what happened or how the body got there.

ST. CROIX, USVI — On July 12, just before 2 a.m., police officers on patrol discovered the lifeless body of a man on the side of the road leading into Campo Rico. The victim was identified by family members as 31-year-old Lionel Hendricks of Adventure Hill.

Hendricks appeared to have been shot, however, there were no reports of fired shots in the area, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have information about this homicide to contact police.
