Police: St. Croix Woman Charged with Assault and Vehicle Theft

ST. CROIX, USVI — The Virgin Island Police Department announced the arrest of Milagros Peguero, age 39 of Queen Street, Frederiksted, on a warrant.

Police initially arrested Peguero on July 18 for allegedly assaulting a female victim near the corner of King Street and Market Street in Frederiksted. After the assault, Peguero left the area in the victim’s vehicle and was involved in a collision, causing damages.

The VIPD said Peguero is charged with first-degree assault, aggravated assault and battery, second-degree robbery, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and destruction of property.
