St. Croix McDonald’s Thief Crawled Thru Window, Cops Say
VIPD are investigating a robbery at the McDonald's Restaurant in Golden Rock. Police say the suspect climbed through the drive-in window.
ST. CROIX, USVI. — A robber climbed through the drive-through window of the McDonald's restaurant in Golden Rock on Sunday night and took cash from the register, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department.
The VIPD is investigating the robbery after it was reported by a restaurant employee. The employee told police that she closed the drive-thru window on Sunday evening, August 15 around 9 p.m. and then stepped away from the register. Shortly after, she was approached by slim male, wearing a black ski mask, black jacket, and jeans. The assailant had entered the restaurant by climbing through the drive-thru window.
He led the employee back to the register, forced her to open it, took the cash, and fled back through the window.
