π± WAPA Announces New CEO, Who Else Is Hiring In USVI + More

Good morning. WAPA has a new CEO and Ghislaine Maxwell might get a new trial. I'm following those stories and more.
Here's what's happening in the territory today:
- The V.I. Water and Power Authority governing board announced that Andrew L. Smith will take over as WAPA's new Chief Executive Officer, starting today. Smith has 30 years of experience in the electric utility, power generation, and energy industry. Prior to joining WAPA, he worked as a consultant to the utility industry. Read more in The Consortium.
- The V.I. Supreme Court may weigh in on the legal battle between Save Coral Bay and Summers End Marina and Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. over plans for a marina in Coral Bay. Via the Virgin Islands Daily News.

- A juror in the case against Ghislaine Maxwell told reporters that he was sexually abused as a child, an admission that could cause a judge to dismiss the guilty charges against Maxwell and allow for a retrial. Maxwell's lawyers have already asked for a new trial, via The Guardian.
