The woman shot in the botched jewelry store robbery in Havensight has died, meaning the men charged in the attack could face more serious charges.

- The woman shot in the attempted robbery on Dec. 4 at the Havensight Mall died from her injuries. Her death was confirmed by VIPD spokesman Toby Derima on Sunday night. He also released her identity: 56-year-old Gregorianna Julien. On December 17, police arrested and charged four men in connection with the attempted robbery at Glitter’s Fine Jewelry. The suspects could face upgraded charges given the latest death. Read more in the Virgin Islands Daily News.

- Immanuel Acosta, born, January 1 at 12:55 a.m., was the first baby to be born in the territory in 2022. The 6 pounds, 11 ounce baby boy was delivered at the Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center. The VI Consortium has more details and, of course, adorable photos.
