Two batches of plant-based infant formula have been recalled out of an abundance of caution due to a possible cronobacter cross-contamination, Reckitt, the company that manufactures the product, announced in a news release Monday.
The recall affects about 145,000 cans of ProSobee 12.9 oz. Simply Plant-Based Infant Formula, which were sold in retail stores nationwide. "After a thorough investigation, we have identified the root cause, which was linked to a material from a third party," Reckitt said in the statement. "We have taken all appropriate corrective actions, including no longer sourcing this material from the supplier."
