U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Positive For COVID-19: Report
Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who is fully vaccinated, tested positive after taking a test prior to a trip, a department spokesperson said.

WASHINGTON, DC — Alejandro Mayorkas, secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report by CNN citing department spokesperson Marsha Espinosa.
"Secretary Mayorkas tested positive this morning for the COVID-19 virus after taking a test as part of routine pre-travel protocols. Secretary Mayorkas is experiencing only mild congestion," Espinosa said in a statement.
Mayorkas is fully vaccinated, CNN reported.
