Why You Need Alexa For Amazon's Pet Week
If you don't prep for Amazon's Pet Week, you may end up in the doghouse — or even worse, the litter box.
They say every dog has its day, but Amazon's giving an entire week to our furry friends — cats included! Monday, Oct. 2 marks the beginning of Alexa Pet Week. It's seven days filled with toys, treats and doggone good deals that are available exclusively for the humans with Alexa-enabled devices.
If you don't already have an Alexa-enabled device (or seven) hooked up, now's the time to get on it! You can pre-order the next generation Echo or Echo Plus, but if you want your smart home device here in time for Pet Week, you can order a certified refurbished first-generation Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show or Amazon Tap and compatible Fire tablets.
Once your Alexa-enabled device is set up, all you have to say is, "Alexa, what are your Pet Week deals?" From there, Alexa will tell you about the super savings and sales on pet products that are only available for Amazon's voice-ordering customers.

Alexa has a number of "pet skills" — like rattling off Corgi facts or playing cat purring sounds to help you and your feline relax. There are even some smart pet products that utilize Alexa in ways that let you connect more with your pet — even when you're away.
