House Democrats To Investigate Trump Hush Money: Report
An aide told The Wall Street Journal that Democrats are already looking into the payments and asked for records from the Trump Organization.

WASHINGTON, DC — Fresh off winning control of the House, Democratic lawmakers are reportedly planning to investigate President Donald Trump's role in hush money paid during the 2016 campaign to silence two women who say they had sexual relationships with Trump. An aide told The Wall Street Journal on Sunday that House Democrats are already looking into the payments and asked for documents from the Trump Organization two months ago.
The report comes two days after The Journal reported that Trump was involved in or at least told about nearly every step in the deals, which were arranged by Michael Cohen, Trump's former personal lawyer and "fixer."
Adult film star Stormy Daniels and ex-Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal have said they had sex with Trump years ago. Trump, who has denied the accusations, previously acknowledged he reimbursed Cohen for a $130,000 payment made to Daniels.
