House Threatens To Subpoena White House In Impeachment Inquiry
House Democrats threatened to subpoena the White House for documents related to the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

WASHINGTON — House Democrats Wednesday threatened to subpoena the White House for documents related to the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump if administration officials refuse to turn over the information voluntarily.
U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) said the White House so far has ignored Congress' requests for documents related to Trump’s efforts to pressure Ukraine into investigating former Vice President Joe Biden and his son. Cummings, chairman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, told members of the panel of the impending subpoena Wednesday.
The move stands to escalate the growing impeachment inquiry, a day after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused Democrats of bullying White House staffers as part of their investigation.
