U.S. To Immigrants: Get Deported, Get Kids Back Quicker
A Trump administration official confirmed to CNN that the deal was being offered.

WASHINGTON, DC — Immigrant parents are being offered a deal to see their kids quicker: simply agree to deportation. A Trump administration official confirmed to CNN that those who agree to be voluntarily removed from the country are being told they'll see their kids before they're deported.
The official said the arrangement is customary. Cases move quicker when detained immigrants sign deportation papers than if they wait for a judge, the report said.
But Efrén Olivares, a lawyer with the Texas Civil Rights Project, told reporters Sunday there's no reason to believe that the families are reunited quicker if they agree to be deported. He said the matter appeared to conflate deportation and reunification.
