Michael Cohen, Trump's Former Lawyer, Facing Charges: Report

Two sources told The Associated Press that prosecutors are preparing charges against Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former fixer.

NEW YORK, NY — Prosecutors are reportedly preparing criminal charges against Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former personal lawyer and "fixer." That's according to The Associated Press, which cited two people familiar with the federal investigation into Cohen. Those charges, which could be brought as soon as this month, and could include bank fraud stemming from his financial dealings with the taxi industry.

AP said it spoke to the sources Monday. They weren't authorized to discuss the probe and agreed to speak on condition of anonymity. The report comes a day after The New York Times reported, also citing anonymous sources, that prosecutors are honing in on more than $20 million in loans obtained by taxi businesses owned by Cohen and his family.

Investigators are also looking into payments Cohen arranged two years ago to muzzle women from discussing accusations that they were having sexual affairs with Trump.
