Roger Stone: 'Absolutely' Never Discussed Pardon With Trump

WASHINGTON, DC — Roger Stone says he and President Donald Trump haven't talked about a potential pardon and that he would discuss cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller in the Russia probe. Stone, Trump's confidant who calls himself a dirty trickster, made the remarks Sunday morning when asked by ABC News' Chief Anchor George Stephanopolous whether he'd tell the truth about his dealings with the president.

"You know, that’s a question I would have to determine after my attorneys have some discussion," Stone said on the show “This Week."

He added:"If there’s wrongdoing by other people in the campaign that I know about, which I know of none, but if there is I would certainly testify honestly. I’d also testify honestly about any other matter, including any communications with the president. It’s true that we spoke on the phone, but those communications are political in nature, they’re benign, and there is –- there is certainly no conspiracy with Russia. The president’s right, there is no Russia collusion."

FBI agents arrested Stone, 66, before dawn Friday at his home in Florida. He was charged with lying about his pursuit of Russian hacked emails that were damaging to Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.

Stone told Stephanopolous he also never talked with Trump during or after the campaign about Russia or the Mueller probe.

"None whatsoever," said Stone. "Categorically. Zero. Zero."
