Tulsi Gabbard Sues Hillary Clinton Over 'Russian Asset' Comments

Tulsi Gabbard, a U.S. representative from Hawaii and 2020 presidential hopeful, filed a defamation lawsuit against Hillary Clinton.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii is suing Hillary Clinton after the former secretary of state and 2016 presidential hopeful made remarks about her on a podcast, characterizing the Democratic presidential candidate as a "Russian asset." Gabbard filed a defamation lawsuit against Clinton on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

In the lawsuit, Gabbard's lawyers allege that Clinton's comments “smeared” Gabbard’s “political and personal reputation.”
