Replay: President Trump's Interview With '60 Minutes'
Among the topics President Donald Trump was asked about: missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi and how the U.S. could punish Saudi Arabia.

WASHINGTON, DC — An interview with President Donald Trump aired Sunday night on the show "60 Minutes," and among the questions the president answered was about what he knows about missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi. A clip of the interview showed Trump being asked whether a Saudi Arabian prince ordered Khashoggi to be killed. Khashoggi was last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul earlier this month trying to get documents that would allow him to wed his fiancee, who is from Turkey, according to CNN.
Trump told "60 Minutes" the case remains under investigation but that Saudi Arabia has denied any involvement in the disappearance.
"It's being looked at very, very strongly," Trump said in the clip. "We would be very upset and angry if that were the case," Trump said in the clip, referring to whether the Saudi prince had any involvement.

Trump said he expects to learn the truth soon. When asked how the U.S. would respond should he learn Saudi Arabia was involved, Trump said sanctions are on the table, but he doesn't want to interfere with a military equipment sale.
"I tell you what I don't want to do — Boeing, Lockheed, Raytheon, all these companies...I don't want to hurt jobs. I don't want to lose an order like that," Trump said. He added there are other ways to punish the country and noted there's a lot at stake, particularly because Khashoggi was a reporter. If something happened to him, Trump said it would be "terrible and disgusting."

Authorities in Turkey have said explicit audio recordings and video showing Saudi agents killed Khashoggi inside the Consulate, The New York Times reported, citing two anonymous sources who were briefed about the findings. On Oct. 2, Khashoggi walked into the building as his fiancee waited outside. He never returned.
The Times reported that Turkish officials said 15 Saudi agents were sent to kill Khashoggi, and that they did so within two hours. They then allegedly dismembered his body in order to move it, even reportedly bringing a bone saw with themand a doctor of forensic medicine.
