Celebrate creativity, community, and the planet at ChalkFest at eARTh Day 2026, a joyful outdoor art event hosted by Public Art Reston on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Reston Town Square Park. The event is presented as part of the annual eARTh Day celebration organized by the Reston Town Center Association.
ChalkFest welcomes artists of all ages and skill levels—from professional artists to enthusiastic amateurs, families and kids. Registered participants will create their own chalk masterpieces in designated squares, with prizes awarded in categories such as Professional Artists, Amateur Artists, Families &amp; Kids, and People’s Choice. 
Chalking begins at 11:00 a.m., judging starts at 4:00 p.m., and winners will be announced at 5:00 p.m.

But there’s more! There will also be free face painting for children, live music, and other family-friendly activities, making the event a lively and welcoming gathering for the whole community. Local businesses and community groups are also encouraged to participate. ChalkFest ay eARTh Day 2026 is a perfect opportunity for team-building and community engagement.

Enjoy a full day of live music and performances across multiple stages, along with an art exhibit, games, chalk art, and a variety of interactive activities. Browse offerings from local vendors featuring handcrafted goods, food, beverages, and more. There will be fun for all ages, including face painting, glitter tattoos, sidewalk chalk art, and t-shirt or tote bag decorating.
