Akim Reinhardt, Neighbor

Akim Reinhardt was born and raised in The Bronx, New York, where he attended public schools.  After earning a Bachelor's degree in Asian History from the University of Michigan, he spent several years working through a stunning array of odd jobs.  He eventually earned a Master's from Hunter College CUNY and then went on get a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska in American Indian History.  Following a post-doctorate at Arizona State University, he accepted his current position at Towson University in 2001.  He lives in Hampden with an aging cat named Poopster and blogs regularly at http://ThePublicProfessor.com
