Melisa Newman - Vocalist &amp; Visual Artist Melissa Newman is an artist and singer. Her primary medium in visual art is porcelain and stoneware. She has shown her sculptures at venues across the tri-state area, including The Hamptons Show House (2012), Gallery 66 in Cold Spring, NY; Terrain in Westport, CT, the Westport Arts Center in Westport, CT; and many pop-up locations.<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvMN2AcnYqg&amp;list=OLAK5uy_mpsYZM0HfJGj1Ad-T7Twl6JbbqTo3KfXA&amp;index=5" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Click Here To Give Her A Listen</a>As a singer, Newman performs frequently with her Jazz Trio. For the past two decades, she has also taught art and drama at a correctional facility and worked with other programs in under-served communities. She has two sons and a lovely husband, and is writing a very messy novel that no one (not even you) will ever read.

Meet The Band:
Tony Lombardozzi - Guitar Tony has been a jazz guitar instructor and ensemble director at Wesleyan University Music faculty since 1986. Has participated and conducted numerous jazz clinics including being on the advisory board of Backcountry Jazz since 2009 and has also participated in master classes at Yale University, Berklee School of Music, New York University.
Tony Lombardozzi has been active on the Jazz scene since the 1970’s. He has performed extensively with some of the legends of jazz such as: Clark Terry, John Di Martino, Frank Wes, Gerry Niewood,Billy Drummond, Jerry Dodgion, Ernie Wilkins, Les Paul, Ignacio Berroa, Bill Barron, Kenny Barron, Ed Blackwell, Jay Hoggard, Greg Bandy, Rufus Reed, Ray Drummond, Lynn Christy, John Lockwood, Tom (Bones) Malone, James Newton, Jimmy Green, Bernard Purdie, Christian Sands, Jane Ira Bloom, Bill Watrous, Yoron Israel, Avery Sharp, Don Friedman, Regina Carter, Steve Johns, Alvester Garnett, Joe Puma, Sal Salvador, Nat Reeves, Jerry Weldon, Mike Mossman, Victor Lewis, Bennie Wallace, Keith Copland, Peter Washington, Terell Stafford, Joe Magnarelli, Herlin Riley, Art Barron, John D’earth, Giacomo Gates, Carla Cook, Godwin Lewis, Catherine Russell, Donald Vega, Charenee Wade, David Wong, Alicia Olatuja, Avery Sharpe, Marco Panancia, Wayne Escoffery, Ron McClure, Jason Jackson, Rosena M. Bassist - Phil Bowler attended the University of Hartford, where he received a bachelor's degree in music in 1972. He played with Roland Kirkfrom 1976–78, then with Hugh Masekela (1980), Joe Lee Wilson (1981). He went on to play with jazz greats such as : Wynton Marsalis , Big Nick Nicholas, Slide Hampton, Jon Faddis, and Ralph Peterson, Jr. He played in a quintet with Donald Harrison and Terence Blanchard And began touring in Europe with the amazing Benny Golson. He worked with Jackie McLean locally and with The Newman Taylor Baker duo in 1997, and in 1998 he worked with the Count Basie Orchestra.
Bowler hosted Jazz Adventures on WPKN radio in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and performed with Artt Frank and Mike Armando from 1999–2009. In 2002 Bowler hosted the MJA Jazz &amp; Blues Festival at Lake Grove, Long Island, New York.
Bob Leonard - Drums. Bob Leonard has been working professionally as a drummer for over fifty years He has enjoyed performing with a variety of artists including Woody Herman, Gerry Mulligan, Milt Jackson, Dave Leibman, John Scofield, Linc Chamberland and Joey Calderrazo. He has worked throughout the tri-state area and toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Bob combines his love of jazz, pop and Latin to create his own unique voice on the drums

Shoes Policy: Please, have an extra pair of any regular shoes not worn outside (or clean the shoes sole at home), indoors-only sneakers or dance shoes and change them before entering the dance floor. Sorry, no lady's spike or stilletto heels will be allowed in order to protect the wood dance floor.
Location: Ballroom Elegance Dance Studio is located at 877 Post Road, Westport, CT 06880, second level, right next to the Sherwood Diner. Use the ramp on the right hand side of the building to the second level. There is ample free parking in the lot right outside the studio.
