“Kids Helping Kids” — Benefiting Delco Helping Hands 501c3

Hop Aboard the Music Train! Join singer/songwriter/children’s entertainer and event founder, World of Song’s Allison DeSalvo and Friends for "Thank & Giving" a heartwarming morning of music, creativity, and community giving in support of Delco Helping Hands on Saturday, November 14th from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM.

Clap, stamp, sing, and dance along on a musical journey with Allison accompanied by guitarist Derek Chafin and percussionist Joanna Justice, performing a lively mix of traditional favorites, folk, and original tunes to celebrate the season. From a pop-up turkey puppet, and other fall favorites, the event promises interactive fun for all! Families can also enjoy a “make one to give / take one home” craft time, light refreshments.
Now in its 18th year, this beloved World of Song tradition continues to bring families together in the spirit of thanks and giving, while creating an opportunity for children to experience the joy of helping others. This year’s proceeds will benefit Delco Helping Hands 501(c)3, whose mission is to support Delaware County families by providing essential living and household necessities for babies, children, and adults, while offering compassionate community outreach during holidays and important milestones.
At the heart of the event is Allison DeSalvo’s vision of “kids helping kids”, giving little ones a chance to participate, share, and discover how even small acts of generosity can create a ripple effect. Through music, creativity, and community, children learn that giving is something we can all be a part of—and that kindness, gratitude, and love can truly make a difference.
Geared for ages 2 – 7 years. All Welcome. Reservations Requested. Tickets: $30 per family, $10 per person. Infants Free. Program includes concert, craft time, food and refreshments. Sponsored by World of Song. Location: Park Avenue Community Center, 129 Park, Avenue, Swarthmore, PA 19081.

Honoring the Man. Empowering the Mission.
Some people talk about community. Patrick Burns has spent a lifetime feeding it.
As the owner of multiple grocery stores across the Philadelphia region, Pat has understood something that few do — that access to food is not simply a convenience. It is dignity. It is stability. It is the foundation that everything else in a person’s life is built upon. For decades, Pat has shown up for neighborhoods that needed someone to believe in them, creating jobs, providing access, and investing in people long before it was celebrated.
That is exactly why we are honoring him.
An Evening Honoring Patrick Burns will bring together the friends, colleagues, and community leaders who know Pat best — and the Siloam Wellness supporters who share his belief that people deserve more than survival. They deserve to thrive.
For nearly 30 years, Siloam has walked alongside Philadelphians navigating trauma, isolation, and instability — including one of the most urgent challenges facing our neighbors today: food insecurity. Because at Siloam, we know that an empty pantry is never just an empty pantry. It is anxiety. It is impossible choices. It is the quiet crisis of a basic human need going unmet. We respond to that experience as trauma — and we respond to the whole person.
Pat Burns has spent his life making sure people have what they need to get started. Pat also makes sure that Siloam has what they need to heal and keep going.
This evening is where those two missions meet. wearesiloam.org/
Honor the man. Invest in the mission he believes in.
