As antisemitism rises to historic levels, the Town of Fairfield is doubling down on its commitment to end hate by highlighting our shared humanity with an interfaith Holocaust Remembrance featuring local students, clergy, town officials and testimony from Nina Jacobs, an 84-year-old Holocaust survivor. This is the 41st year this program has been hosted by First Congregational Church. For the first time advance registration is required. It’s that time of year and Spring has arrived! As such, the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce that its 24th Annual Fundraiser and Silent Auction/Wine event, the 2026 Spring Fling, is scheduled for April 29th, at the Penfield Pavilion!Open to the public, delicious appetizers and light bites will be served throughout the evening by local area restaurants: BE Chocolat; Crafted &amp; Catered; RyeBird; Saigon Snack Bar; Joylark Plant Kitchen &amp; Bar; Nordic Fish; Quattro Pazzi, Kelli's Kitchen, Geronimo's Tequila Bar and Southwest Grill, Catering by Christine and Mini Munch Sliders for a night of scrumptious cuisine.
Open bar serving wine, beer and soft drinks will be offered with each ticket purchase, plus a special Rosé Bar, featuring some of the most popular, new Rosé wines, sponsored by Mo’s Wine and Spirits – with chocolate pairings from BE Chocolat. Elicit Brewing Company (serving beer); Fifth State Distillery has created a signature cocktail for the event, The Blooming Spring, and will be on hand to share a tasting of their special recipe prepared with Fifth State Gin.We are opening the doors at the Penfield Pavilion, for everyone to come and enjoy the Fairfield Chamber’s signature annual fundraiser event! Assistance provided by Mateo Andres an Educator from Discovery, and his associates, Sarah &amp; Natasha. Sky viewing will end at 9:00pm.

During this interactive ninety-minute workshop, participants can learn more about the work of the Affordable Housing Committee in developing affordable housing solutions aimed at providing a full range of housing options for all Fairfielders. The program will include a 30-minute overview presentation by Community &amp; Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart, followed by a conversation with Committee members during which attendees can share their perspectives on the types of housing that they or someone they know might need now or in the future.

We explore creative and inspiring locations, learn about fiber arts or related fields, and complete a stitching project together. Beginners absolutely welcome! Trip Details:&nbsp;We will take the train to and from the city (or meet us there!), explore the galleries along 10th Avenue, view the beauty of the spring flowers in the city, walk the High Line, enjoy lunch at Chelsea Market, visit Little Island and Pier 57, and stitch up a NYC-themed postcard embroidery project. We make all the decisions so you don't have to!&nbsp;
Please Note:&nbsp;This trip includes walking at a leisurely pace, around 12 - 14k steps spread out throughout the day. We build in time for resting. Wear comfortable shoes! Price&nbsp;(Two options)&nbsp;
