Come and explore the sounds and sights of the forest. On the hike participants will keep their eyes and ears open for the calls of owls and maybe even spot some bats swooping down to feed on insects. Your evening with CNC also includes an animal encounter and a relaxing campfire where you can roast a marshmallow. Limited spaces available.

Spread your date night wings and join a CNC naturalist for this exclusive date night experience at the Butterfly Encounter. This is a great time to enjoy nature with your date and spend time in the encounter. Feel free to bring your own picnic and drinks (non-alcoholic) to have, but we will also have some light snacks and drinks included for you to enjoy. As part of the experience, you will learn all about butterflies, enjoy a guided walk through CNC’s Wildlife Walk, and conclude with an animal demo highlighting one of CNC’s native animal ambassadors. Guided Forest Bathing is an opportunity to connect with Nature and experience CNC in a new way. During this gently 2 ½ hour ramble, we will balance wandering with rest, facilitated group gatherings, and solo time. Your guide will offer invitations, or suggestions, for safely engaging with Nature through our senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. We will also learn about how a CNC animal uses its senses in the forest. With no expectations or goals, this is an opportunity to slow down, unplug, destress, and practice presence in the moment. We quite literally “come to our senses” and deepen our connection to Nature, ourselves, and each other. Inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, which translates to “forest bathing”, this is a sensory immersion, a chance to soak in the therapeutic benefits of being present in Nature (no water required!).
