The Gold Coast Sounds Good Choir will bring down the house at its free spring choral concert on Thursday, May 15, at 2 pm, singing hits from iconic Broadway musicals like “Oklahoma,” “Porgy &amp; Bess,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “West Side Story,” and “Hamilton," and more. Conductors Jonathan Miller and Linda Crabtree Powell lead choristers from all eight Sounds&nbsp;Good Choirs through a repertoire guaranteed to satisfy any Broadway aficionado. Selections include “Oklahoma’s” glorious and exuberant anthem, “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin;’” the dreamy, ironic “Summertime,” from George Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess;” and the comic sunshine of Hamilton’s, “You’ll Be Back.” Join us for a delightful afternoon at&nbsp;Fourth Presbyterian Church, Main Sanctuary (Michigan Avenue entrance), 126 E Chestnut St, Chicago, IL, 60611.&nbsp;

Sounds Good Choir is a nonprofit organization with two incredible choral programs. Sounds Good is Chicagoland's largest no-audition choral program for adults 55+. It's fun,&nbsp; good for you (health and well-being benefits are associated with singing in a group), and we're a&nbsp;warm, welcoming community of people who love to sing.&nbsp;Good Memories is the only choir in Illinois for persons with early-stage dementia and their care partners to sing together. The lively, fun, and supportive&nbsp;program is designed especially for those with memory loss. Trained volunteers assist.&nbsp;Both programs are led by professional conductors who are experts in the training of the older adult voice and each&nbsp;session concludes with a free, public concert by each choir.

Divercity: Our Lives are Works of Art produced by Tellin' Tales Theatre shows that disabilities bring out our creativity in whatever we do. When we face hurdles, we find a way to leap over them, not in an inspiration porn way but in a creative way that gives us an edge in everything we do. 
The show runs one weekend only, Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16 at 7:30pm and Sunday, May 17 at 2pm at Goodman Theatre's Alice Center for Education and Engagement, 170 N. Dearborn.&nbsp; Tickets are $20 (General) and $15 (students and people with disabilities).
Six writers, performers and artists share pithy solo performances based on their personal stories about living with a disability. They were created in a six-week Master Class taught by Tekki Lomnicki, Artistic Director of Tellin’ Tales Theatre.
