Ana Kalet, Neighbor

Originally from Manalapan/Englishtown area, she grew up on a self sustaining farm across from a nursery school and summer camp. She has her degree in Developmental Psychology from Douglass College at Rutgers University and while there she studied with Joe Hart in his Creative Dramatics class, Shoestring student company, Professional Company and their Plus outreach program bringing creative drama into schools. For the last six years she has been teaching drama with Youth Stages LLC in Princeton and learning from owner Jean Rosolino, who also teaches drama in libraries and schools through out NJ. Active in Community theater, Ana directed <i>Steel Magnolias</i> in Somerset at Villagers Theater which was nominated by NJACT for 5 awards including Best Production<i>. </i> For Plyhouse 22 in East Brunswick Ana directed <i>Hairspray</i> which was nominated for 4 awards last season. She can be seen touring in NJ Schools with Theater for Young Aundience shows like Aesop and the Bully, Genies and Lamps, and 2 Marys 5 Jacks and One Very Big Shoe.
