Andrea Lily is an artist and teacher. Her artistic focus is graphic design, illustration and surface design. She incorporates her designs into mixed media, functional fiber arts and freelance assignments. As an educator she believes in nurturing the potential of the whole child and chose to become licensed as both a K-12 art specialist and K-9 elementary teacher. She teaches art with creative development as a basic principle; taking specific interest in the neuroscience of creative skill development. Her interests include: a focus on her family, gardening, power walking and reading. She knows that "making art is a lot like life, often messy, but worth every experience."
