Manning Montessori Preschool is a child centered preschool located in Watsonville, Ca.

We believe in fostering confidence, enhancing natural curiosity and building independence in children by allowing them to choose what they are most interested in learning. The method is child centered, always following the child and observing his or her needs and showing appropriate materials when we see that the child is ready for them. The Montessori materials are hands on, child sized, and developed in a way that directly educates the child. In the Montessori classroom the child is the central person in the room, not the teacher.

We have a new playground area centered around a giant shady tree. We also take advantage of the All Saints Church campus and the community garden for short walking trips. We are building a mud kitchen and new raised garden beds.

We are now accepting children ages 2-6, potty training is not necessary.

This year we are having a summer session. This will start on Monday June 22 through Friday July 24th. Drop-ins are welcome.
