Jay Day - Fall Family Festival

Jay Day is our classic fall family festival held annually at the 23-acre award-winning Jay Estate with offerings for everyone!...

Wahooo Market

“Growing up, I held a Halloween party for my friends every year. Now, I’m holding that party in our store.” — John Cronin
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and John is throwing a party. (Yes, the same John who founded John’s Crazy Socks) With no Village-wide trick-or-treat this year, we’re opening our doors for a safe, fun Halloween for children of all ages, and for grown-ups who still love a good costume. Admission is free, everyone is welcome, and we’re indoors, so the party goes on rain or shine.

Costume Contests

Come in costume and enter our costume contests. We have two: one for kids under 12, and one for teens and adults. Stop by any time between 11 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to have your costume photographed. Then John and his team will review every entry and announce the winners at 3:15 p.m., right after the dance party. Each winner takes home a box of socks!

John’s Monster Mash Dance Party

At 2:30 p.m., John takes over the dance floor. If you’ve ever seen John dance, you know you don’t want to miss this. Expect Halloween classics, plenty of the Monster Mash, and lots of happy people.

Fun for the Kids

•Halloween crafts
•Spooky Chalk the Walk
•Ring toss
•Candy, plus non-candy treats
We’re proud to be a Teal Pumpkin stop this year. Our non-candy treats mean kids with food allergies can join in too. Look for the teal pumpkin out front.

A Halloween for Everyone

We believe everyone should get to enjoy Halloween. Before the party begins, we’re hosting a Sensory Halloween from 11 a.m. to noon: lower music, smaller crowds, and a calmer pace for families who prefer a lower-key visit. You’ll also meet our Sock Wranglers, many of whom have differing abilities, dressed up in their own costumes, of course.

Wear a Costume, Save 10%

Come in costume and get 10 percent off everything in the store. It’s a great time to pick up Halloween socks, gifts, and treats. Every purchase helps us create jobs for people with differing abilities. (Discount available in our Huntington store only.)

Cat people are a special breed. They plan their day around a nap schedule that isn't theirs. And they know the best seat in the house belongs to whoever has whiskers.
At Wahooo Market by John, the gift shop at 328A Main Street in Huntington Village, cat lovers have plenty to purr about. The store's sock wall is stocked with cat socks that are colorful, a little silly, and impossible to look at without smiling.
Wahooo Market is run by Huntington's own John and Mark X. Cronin, the father-and-son team who founded John's Crazy Socks. They opened the shop on a simple mission: make people happy and show what people with differing abilities can do. More than half of their team has a differing ability. The store officially took on the Wahooo Market name on October 1 with a parade through the Village, cake, and ice cream.
Socks That Help Long Island Rescue Cats
Two of the store's cat socks give back close to home. The Animal Rescue Cat Stripes Socks and the Home Is Where My Rescue Cat Is Crew Socks are Charity Socks. 10% of every pair sold goes to North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, helping more cats and kittens find homes.
The Animal Rescue Cat Stripes Socks feature blue and cream stripes, cartoon cats chasing balls of yarn, and the word LOVE on the toes. One customer sent a pair to her brother, noting that he and his cat "adopted one another." The Home Is Where My Rescue Cat Is socks have earned five stars from every customer who reviewed them. One shopper who lives with two cats reports that her cats like rubbing against them.
A Sock for Every Cat Mood
Cats can be sleepy, mysterious, chatty, and mischievous, sometimes all before breakfast. Wahooo Market has a sock for each mood:

Cat Loaf Women's Crew Socks celebrate the classic pose: paws tucked, tail wrapped, a perfect fuzzy loaf of contentment.

Black Cat Crew Socks show a sleek black cat in a long stretch on a deep red background, a fashion statement for October and beyond.

Meow Cat Crew Socks feature plump, comfortable cats lounging on burgundy, with "meow" sprinkled everywhere.

Devilish Cats Women's Crew Socks let frisky felines show their devilish side in bold red. They're a natural for Halloween, though cat people know mischief is a year-round sport.

Cat socks run $13.99 to $15.99 a pair. With Halloween around the corner and the holidays close behind, they make an easy gift for the cat person on your list. Everyone has one.
Stop In or Shop Online
Shoppers can see the cat socks, along with the rest of the store's colorful sock wall, at Wahooo Market by John. We're at 328A Main Street in the heart of Huntington Village. Look for the sign out front, come through the gate, walk down the short path, and say hello to John and the team. Beyond socks, the shop carries apparel, jewelry, home items, cookies, candy, and gifts, all made by people with differing abilities or companies that employ them.
Can't make it to the Village? All six cat socks are available at wahooomarket.com
in the Animals collection. Online orders over $50 ship free, every box is packed by the Wahooo Market crew, and each one includes a note from John and some candy.
