Barry Donadio first joined the military on December 29th, 1987 in the New York Army National Guard.

He served as an Infantry Recon Scout in the 42nd Infantry Division at the Patchogue Armory in New York.

Later, he joined the U.S. Army Reserve and served as a Military Policeman in the 340th Military Police in Jamaica Queens, New York.

He also served in the 340th and 423rd Military Police in Hempstead, New York.

At times, he performed law enforcement duties at Ft. Totten in Queens, New York.

His commitment extended to the Air National Guard, where he was a member of the 106th Rescue Wing Security Police at the Gabreski Airbase in Westhampton Beach, New York.
