We here at Answers for Elders have some exciting news to share. Aging Life Care Association™ New England has appointed Barbara A. Cannon,LSW, CMC/ Geriatric care manager & Owner of Answers for Elders, LLC a 25 year veteran in the Senior care Industry as President of the New England Chapter of the national association of professional geriatric care managers, now known as the Aging Life Care Association.

Founded in 1986 with presently over 200 members in our Chapter. Professional Aging Life Care Experts are trained and experienced in any of several fields related to care management (social work, psychology, nursing, gerontology, physical therapy, occupational therapy) and/or an equivalent background caring for elders. Members hold Certification from one of three certifying bodies recognized by ALCA. Aging Life Care Experts are professionals that specialize in assisting elders and families meet their care needs. We assess older adults and collaborate with our clients and families to come up with appropriate and personal care plans. We understand the challenges of aging and we pride ourselves in promoting the safety and dignity of our elderly population.

Barbara A. Cannon who is currently the President of Answers for Elders LLC, is a Licensed Social Worker, Certified Care Manager and Healthcare Consultant who has spent many years working with seniors and their families. Along with spending sixteen years in business development in the Hospice Industry Barbara has also conducted numerous seminars educating physicians, nurses and social workers regarding the many complexities on dealing with the last chapter of life a chapter in life that we will all encounter.

Barbara's experience makes her uniquely qualified to lead The New England Chapter of Aging Life Care Association to continue promoting the highest standards of practice by professionals who are assisting older people and their families in designing and implementing programs that maximize the independence and well-being of elders.
