Becky Snow is program director at HeadZone. Located in Shelton, <b>HeadZone  </b>offers concussion screening, education and prevention services and is a community outreach service of ReBound at Pedi-Care (Pediatric Care Associates of Connecticut <i><br></i><br>HeadZone teams visit schools and athletic groups throughout Fairfield County to deliver free educational seminars on concussion awareness and injury prevention, on-site group or walk-in basis &#34;baseline&#34; testing, as well as post-injury testing. HeadZone offers ImPACT testing to children aged 11 and up. ImPACT is a neurocognitive assessment tool www.impacttest.com that evaluates children who have sustained head injuries. There is also a &#34;baseline&#34; test available to any child prior to a possible head injury. The computerized test measures and records a child’s memory, motor skills, and reaction time. The test is most useful following a head injury, as a guideline for cognitive improvement during the recovery period.
