View the parade of tall ships from the overlook pavilion at Grant’s Tomb, one of the best locations to observe this much-anticipated America 250 event. Meet President Grant, portrayed by Ken Serfass, and hear his reflections on America’s 100th birthday in 1876. Complimentary BBQ and cake will be provided starting at 11:30 a.m. This event, hosted by the Grant Monument Association, is free and open to all.

Back on our stage this summer! Chamber music supergroup Joshua Bell, Steven Isserlis, and Jeremy Denk &amp; friends return for two concerts – and two wholly different programs – of the radiant, poetic music of one of their favorite composers – the great Romantic, Robert Schumann.
Bell and Denk open this concert with the smoldering A-Minor Sonata, one of Schumann’s finest works, and one of Bell’s favorites. Isserlis joins for the passionate D-Minor Piano Trio. The second half opens with Isserlis and Denk in the intimate and fiery Adagio and Allegro before Bell returns, joined by friends Irène Duval and Blythe Teh Engstroem for the concert’s finale – the beloved Piano Quintet, one of Schumann’s great masterworks, and widely considered the first great piano quintet.
