Short Stories Bookshop & Community Hub, Neighbor

We are an independent community bookshop and arts hub in charming, vibrant downtown Madison, New Jersey! We’re one block from the train station to NYC - only 23 miles outside of the city.

Our spacious and historical shop on Main Street is on the same stretch as the ice cream shop, weekly Farmer’s Market, local coffee shop, history museum, and one of the top 100 jazz clubs in the country. ‘Shop local’ is strong here and we have three universities (Drew, Fairleigh Dickinson, and the College of St. Elizabeth) in town; on Drew’s idyllic campus, “The Forest,” is one of the most rocking regional theaters in the country, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey.
