Mark your calendar and join the Community Arts Council of Kankakee County for all the great food, fun and entertainment at this year’s Strawberry Jazz Festival on Sunday, June 14. The fun begins at 11 am at Northfield Square Mall in Bradley, IL and continues to 4:00 pm.&nbsp; Admission and parking is free, so bring the whole family!

Entertainment will be provided on three stages featuring local groups like Acting Out Theater at the Community Stage.&nbsp; Enjoy top-notch jazz groups like The Kings of Dixieland, the Jazz Time Combo and the Allan Laskey Quartet at the Outdoor Stage. Relax to the sounds of smooth jazz from entertainers like Patrick Noland, Andrew David and Inversion Jazz on the Center Court Stage.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Artists and crafters will be selling original work such as wood, glass, fabric, ceramic, art, jewelry and other types throughout the Mall and outdoors.&nbsp; Local non-profits will have information about membership and upcoming events and be sure to stop by the Friends of the Kankakee Public Library’s annual book sale.&nbsp; An indoor Kids’ Zone will let your child explore their creativity with art and craft activities and the popular Dime Toss will be outdoors.

Several local food truck vendors will be serving summer favorites and offering specialty strawberry items.&nbsp; Make your way to Center Court to purchase fresh strawberries and chocolate-covered strawberries.
Admission is free as always and the whole family is welcome.&nbsp; Northfield Square is fully accessible for persons with disabilities and the Mall stores will observe their regular hours of operation.&nbsp; For more information and a list of vendors, creators, non-profits and the schedule for entertainment, “Like” and “Follow” the Strawberry Jazz Festival 2026&nbsp; and the CAC Events Facebook pages.

We have replaced the Jackpot raffle with the&nbsp;Queen of Hearts raffle!&nbsp;There are&nbsp;many&nbsp;more ways to win. Tickets are still $ 5 each or 5 for $20. But the good news is that they are on sale from 5 pm Sunday every day until 3:45 pm the following Sunday. The winner need not be present to win*. <a href="https://fordphilanthropy.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Ford Philanthropy</a>&nbsp;is teaming up with the <a href="https://www.ghsa.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Governors Highway Safety Association</a> (GHSA) and the <a href="https://idot.illinois.gov/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Illinois Department of Transportation</a> to bring four free, hands-on Ford Driving Skills for Life clinics to Manheim Chicago in Matteson, Ill., on June 27-28, 2026.
Established in 2003, Ford Driving Skills for Life pairs newly licensed or permitted teen drivers with professional instructors for advanced behind-the-wheel training designed to help inexperienced drivers develop the skills needed to recognize hazards, control their vehicles and make safer decisions on the road. Each session combines instruction from professional drivers with hands-on exercises that allow teens to practice important driving techniques in a controlled environment.

Participants will work with professional instructors to learn how to manage real-world driving situations and understand how their choices behind the wheel affect others on the road.
