Bridal Connection, Neighbor

The Bridal Connection is a well known name to Des Moines. Founded in 1982 by Joy McGovern, it operated on University and 14th for 25 years. Lara and Dan Bunkers bought the store and moved it to 710 N Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny, Iowa in 2008.  

The shop feels like an upscale boutique without the upscale prices. Appointments ensure that each bride has personalized attention. While the square footage may be small, the staff is big on service. The Bridal Connection carries it all: gowns, jewelry, under-garments, tuxes, bridesmaids dresses as well as formal gowns for any occasion and prom dresses. 

In May 2011, we moved our color goods and travel agency to 706 N. Ankeny Blvd (2 doors away). We named this new location "the Connection"...connecting our customers to Prom, Tuxes, & Travel. So, basically...you can add connection to any and all of our services. The new store is really nice...10 dressing rooms, fun motifs and lighting, many glamorous and fun styles of homecoming, winter formal and prom gowns. 

The "Tux" Connection has 3 dressing rooms and a nice consultation area with lots of styles to choose from Jim's Formal Wear to Milroy's Formal Wear. We think you will be impressed. We are constantly doing our best to upgrade our service and foster quality customer service. We look forward to expansion and renovations in the near future.
