TranscenDance Studios began in June 2009 when founding director, Cait Jones, was looking for a new home for her nonprofit youth tap ensemble, TransRhythm Tap. Recognizing a need in the Oak Park community for a dance studio that cared for its families on an individualized compassionate level, Cait vowed to provide such an atmosphere while offering a variety of classes on the forefront of their industries.

TDS strives to offer the highest quality dance education, in an individualized manner, through progressive business practices.

Our vision is to provide our students with the cutting-edge tools to succeed in both the realm of dance, as well as life's other expeditions.

Offerings:

TDS offers dance classes for ages 3 and up in tap, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, ballet, pointe, break dance, Boys Only, leaps & turns, tumbling, and flexibility. Class levels range from beginning to professional. TDS also houses five youth ensembles for dancers ages 6 to 19: TransRhythm Tap, Hip Hop TransFuzion, Jazz TransAxion, Acro Team, and the TDS Minis. Each ensemble operates with multiple tiers to accommodate driven dancers from intermediate through advanced/professional levels.
