“The uninsured, under-insured, disabled and elderly are at particular risk of facing barriers to accessing needed home medical equipment. These vulnerable populations continue to experience reduced access to health care services demonstrating a continuing need for a strong, viable safety net,” explained Joe Hayworth, St. Louis HELP Board President.

St. Louis HELP collects such items as manual and power wheelchairs, scooters, canes, crutches, walkers, shower chairs, tub transfer benches, grab bars, portable commodes, seating cushions, back supports, lift chairs, van lifts, electric hospital beds and ramps. St. Louis HELP is a non-profit organization; donations are tax-deductible. The equipment is refurbished then loaned to individuals in need at no cost.
