PANDA EXPRESS OPENS NEWEST RESTAURANT IN DORCHESTER WITH COMMUNITY CELEBRATION
Panda Express®, the largest American Chinese dining concept in the U.S., is celebrating the grand opening of its newest restaurant location in Dorchester with a community celebration. The family-owned and operated restaurant will offer a special gift for the first customer in line and free t-shirts for the first lucky 88 guests on grand opening day. Join us for an official ribbon cutting with the Chamber and a $5,000 check presentation to the Boys &amp; Girls Club of Dorchester. The new Dorchester location features the new Panda Home design, and offers all of Panda’s iconic dishes, including The Original Orange Chicken®, guest-favorite Broccoli Beef entrée, and award-winning Honey Walnut Shrimp.

Two stages, 8 great bands led by Rozzie musicians. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;A full afternoon of free, live music to Roslindale Square, with performances at Adams Park and Birch Street Plaza. The eclectic lineup of bands—all led by Roslindale residents—includes AS3, Clear Audience, David Leach Collective, Bill Pierce Quartet, Manuel Kauffmann’s Manduca Sexta, Man On Land, and TickleJuice. &nbsp; &nbsp; Curated by jazz pianist/composer, Roslindale's Brian Friedland, the event highlights world-class musicians with deep ties to Boston’s vibrant jazz scene and leading institutions including Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Bring a chair for Adams Park and enjoy great music in the heart of the neighborhood.
Admission free. All are welcome. Presented in collaboration with Roslindale Village Main Street with support from Mass Cultural Council. (Rain date: May 23)

The Center for the Arts in Natick

Hailing from the city of Boston, Alternative Pop artist Jodi Heights stands out in the sea of singer-songwriters with her classically honed technique and her poetic prowess. She holds multiple degrees in music, including a Master of Music from the New England Conservatory.
This release concert celebrates Jodi’s night-themed album, Nocturne, her first Grammy-submitted project.
“I’ve always been a night owl, so writing and recording a whole project centered around loving the dark seemed natural to me. I hope people will receive ‘Nocturne’ as a lullaby to their weary hearts. Turn off all the lights. Maybe burn a few candles, and listen to the whole album at night. Come find your way in the dark.” – Jodi Heights
Nocturne is Jodi’s 6th recording project and marks her second project with Grammy-nominated engineer John Weston of Futura Productions (Roslindale, MA). The album is available in Dolby Atmos, a spatial audio technology for immersive sound.

The Improbable Beasts bass clarinet ensemble, with special guests Meryl Summers(bassoon) and Solon Gordon (piano) present “We Rise,” a program of music about coming together in the midst of adversity, and rising up in community.
Beasts director Jonathan Russell will be joined by pianist Solon Gordon and bassoonist Meryl Summers in his compositional response to the dislocations and disruptions of our current moment called “We Reflect, We Grieve, We Rise.” 
After this, the Beasts present two more of Russell’s original compositions and close with a rousing rendition of the African American Spiritual and protest song “Down by the Riverside.” 
Come join the Beasts for a memorable afternoon of moving and rousing music.
