Carla Horowitz, Local Business

The Clay Cellar is a studio/gallery of functional and decorative handmade stoneware pottery created by Riker Hill resident artist Carla Horowitz of Montclair, New Jersey. She learned her craft from her former partner Adrienne Markowitz and over the many years studied with some of the countries outstanding potters at Peters Valley, Sugar Maples and Parsons School of Design. Carla teaches at her Riker Hill studio as well as at the Montclair Art Museum. Carla is a member of the Potters Guild of New Jersey and is Secretary/Treasurer of the Riker Hill Artists Association, Inc. Carla’s work is included in 500 Raku, and Color: How to Use It by Marci Cooperman.
