Be part of a global cinematic celebration as Glen Ellyn joins more than 500 locations worldwide for the MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival. Watch the Top 10 international short‑film finalists, each under 20 minutes and spanning drama, comedy, and animation.
After the screening, cast your vote for Best Film and Best Actor. Your ballot, combined with audiences around the world, will determine this year’s festival winners. &nbsp;This event is sponsored by The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch.

Join us to view and meet the creators of humorous short films depicting challenges women face in the workplace. Converse and connect on how storytelling shapes perceptions, and the responsibility of film makers.
We will screen short films from Womanhood: The Series (Season 2) that use humor to explore the cultural attitudes and biases that women face in STEM or any male-dominated workplaces. Meet the filmmakers, Jessica McGaugh and Sheila E. Schroeder, and join an expert panel discussion on how storytelling shapes perceptions—and what more authentic representation of women's contributions and capabilities would look like.
Media shapes how we see the world - and the portrayal of women in STEM and other fields in movies and TV reinforces negative stereotypes and discourages women from pursuing these paths.
Admission $15, Students $7.50. Light refreshments served.
