Catherine Allard, Neighbor

Catherine Allard was born and raised in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. From an early age, she itched to see the world. At first, she only made it 50 minutes to Newport, Rhode Island. She received her Bachelor's from Salve Regina University in Sociology with a minor in English Communications. In the last few years, she has worked with the Newport Yachting Center, AmeriCorps NCCC, Newport YMCA, the Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence in Providence, and as a freelance writer for<i> Bar Business Magazine </i>out of New York City.
After college, she spent 10-months in AmeriCorps NCCC, a national service organization. With a passion for travel and helping communities, Catie spent her 10-months removing invasive species from Colorado landscape, building houses with Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans, working with children in Denver, and revitalizing homes and tutoring children Houston's Third Ward.
After her year-long adventure, she returned to Rhode Island and is pursuing her Master's degree at Salve Regina University in Holistic Counseling and Expressive and Creative Arts.
