Join us for Healthy Kids Day 2026 at the Darien YMCA—a fun, free, family-friendly event dedicated to helping kids and families stay active, engaged, and healthy as we head into summer. Part of a nationwide YMCA initiative, Healthy Kids Day inspires children to build lifelong healthy habits through play, learning, and community connection. 
Families can enjoy a wide variety of activities including games, fitness challenges, arts and crafts, and interactive experiences designed to promote physical activity, creativity, and overall well-being. From toddlers to teens, there’s something for everyone in a safe and welcoming environment that celebrates healthy living and active play. 
Be sure to arrive early—the first 150 registered youth participants will receive a FREE Healthy Kids Day t-shirt!

The Remembrance Parade
The Cannon Ridge Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, is pleased to invite you to the Remembrance Parade featuring Gold's Dragoons, The Governor's Horse Guards and Mt. Kisco Scottish Pipe and Drum Corps. &nbsp;This America 250 commemoration honors the Patriots and veterans who supported the cause of American independence, and remembers the sacrifices made at the Battle of Ridgefield. The Parade is free and open to all. &nbsp;We encourage everyone in our community to join as we pause to reflect on our shared American history during the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.&nbsp;
The parade will commence at 12 noon on April 25th from Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church on Main Street ending at the Battle of Ridgefield memorial plaque in Ballard Park with a wreath laying ceremony honoring:
Patriots and Veterans who supported American Independence, particularly at the Battle of Ridgefield &nbsp;
Lieutenant Colonel Abraham Gould, a Gold's Dragoon killed during the Battle of Ridgefield&nbsp;
British troops buried on the battlefield who fell in honorable service to their King
The sold out Black Tie Remembrance Ball will commence at 6pm in the Lounsbury House.&nbsp;

RAIN&nbsp;DATE&nbsp;!!!&nbsp; We have moved FAMILY&nbsp;FUN&nbsp;DAY&nbsp;to Sunday, April 26 to avoind the rain!Join the Round Hill Volunteer Fire Company at its 3rd Annual FAMILY&nbsp;FUN&nbsp;DAY. The event is open to children and families of all ages and will feature four inflatables, including a Fire Station Bounce House and Fire Truck Obstacle Course, Sports Games, a Soccer with Aldwin experience, a puppy-palooza from Adopt-A-Dog, Touch-A-Truck with Round Hill's fire engine and a GEMS&nbsp;ambulance, Face Painters, and Arts &amp; Crafts. RHVFC's volunteer firefighters will also conduct Fire Safety Demonstrations and Scout, RHVFC's fire dog, will also be at the event. Three Food Trucks and an RHVFC&nbsp;Bake Sale will be on hand to provide food options.! All proceeds benefit RHVFC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Donations to RHVFC&nbsp;are fully tax deductible.

Imagine hearing a NY Metropolitan Opera bass baritone with “a titanic voice” (The Washington Post) deliver favorites like “Bring Him Home” (Les Miserables) and “Impossible Dream (Man of LaMancha) in the intimate setting of a Greenwich backcountry chapel. Mikhail Svetlov will perform Broadway and American songbook favorites, in addition to selections from the classical repertoire, on Sunday, April 26th at 4 pm.

Tickets are now on sale for the Noroton Fire Department Fundraiser: Oktoberfest in May!Tickets are $100 each which covers food, German beer, wine, soda, and Smitty’s Polka Band. The event will be held at The Piedmont Club on Saturday, May 2. Doors open at 6 pm, dinner is served at 6:30 and the band performs from 7 to 10 pm.
Trachten/dirndls/lederhosen (German Oktoberfest garments) are recommended but not required. Come dressed ready to have a great party.

Our flat, 5K course runs through Mill River Park and Downtown Stamford and is open to the public.
