The Young Gaelic Association is having a Kentucky Derby Party! Join us for an&nbsp;open bar, appetizer bar, and live music.&nbsp;Wear your Derby best as we will be giving out prizes for the Best Dressed.&nbsp;All are welcome. You do not have to be a member to join in on the fun!
Tickets: Early Bird/YGA Member: $55 General Admission: $65 Designated Driver: $30 
We encourage you to purchase tickets online ahead of time! Space is limited. If tickets remain, they will be $70 at the door.&nbsp;This event is 21+.&nbsp; Early Bird pricing is available until April 11. The Stephen Smyth Band is one of Ireland's most enduring and dynamic live acts, celebrated for their high-energy performances, outstanding musicianship, and genuine connection to the Irish showband and country tradition.
Led by Stephen Smyth, a veteran performer with over 30 years in the Irish music industry, the band delivers a powerful mix of Irish ballads, country classics, and lively dance favourites that continue to captivate audiences at home and abroad.&nbsp;

Tickets: Member - $10 Non-member - $15 James Joyce’s epic story of one day in one city is brought to life in this inventive new show, bringing Ireland’s most notorious book to audiences aged 8 and upwards, and to all those who haven’t got around to reading it yet.
Combining live performance, intricate paper design, an original score and Joyce’s odyssey, this is theatre that will excite both young and old.

Originally commissioned by and produced as part of Ulysses 2.2, a collaborative project between ANU, Landmark Productions and Museum of Literature Ireland.
<a href="https://ulysses22.ie/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Ulysses 2.2</a> was a year-long, nationwide programme of thrilling new artistic experiments in 2022, created by a rich and diverse gathering of established and emerging Irish artists, presented in a range of live performances, digital commissions and installations. 
Along with this stage version, on 16 June 2022, children throughout Ireland were invited to take part in <a href="https://ulysses22.ie/mybloomsday" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">My Bloomsday</a> to celebrate and tell us about their Bloomsday, 100 years on from the book’s original publication date. This included a film version of the show which can still be viewed on the <a href="https://ulysses22.ie/episodes/youll-see" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Ulysses 2.2 website </a>All are welcome at Chicago Gaelic Park. May 23 - 24, 2026The Chicago Feis returns! We host The Chicago Feis annually on Memorial Day weekend. This is an Irish dance competition that features 4 stages. “Feis” (pronounced phonetically “fesh” in English) is an Irish word meaning “festival” and has come to describe a traditional Gaelic arts and culture festival. First place winner of the Dennehy competition receives free registration at next year's feis.Questions? The candidate chosen as the 2026 Chicago Gaelic Park Queen shall reign as Queen for one full year. A runner-up will also be chosen. During St. Patrick’s week, the new Queen and runner-up will be given seats of honor high atop the Gaelic Park Parade Float. The Queen and runner-up will also represent Gaelic Park at various special events during the year. The Queen and runner-up will also enjoy our Irish Fest August 21-23.&nbsp;&nbsp;Valuable gifts and prizes will be bestowed upon the newly crowned Queen and runner-up. The Queen receives 2 round-trip ticket to Ireland.&nbsp;All young women are invited to enter the contest, if they meet the following requirements.
• Are 18-29 years of age by June 13, 2026 • Must be of Irish Heritage • Unmarried • $10.00 registration fee Crowning ceremony at 7pm on June 13th in the Carraig Beer Garden. No admission fee. Q. What events do contest participatns partake in on the day of the contest? A. ~3:30PM - Arrive (in interview outfit). Contestants speak with our 3 judges. After interviews there is a short dinner break. 7pm - Evening portion/crowning ceremony in the Beer Garden (evening wear). Be sure to invite your friends and family! Mai Fest is back for the 5th year bigger than ever!&nbsp; With over 100 artisan vendors, 4 live bands, and food and drink, it promises to be a great day!&nbsp; A great way to celebrate Mother's Day weekend..find mom the perfect gift, or spend the day perusing the handmade goods and enjoying the live music.&nbsp; The fest runs from Noon to 5pm.&nbsp; There is free parking available in the city lots off of Western Ave north of the Cal Sag, and there will be a free shuttle to transport folks from the lots to and from the fest.
